In an effort to be the last man standing
on the ballot, Republican Byron “Low
Tax” Looper murdered his Tennessee
State senate opponent, Tommy Burks.
Looper changed his middle name from
Anthony to “Low Tax” for the ballot. He
was sentenced to life without parole.
